How to Find True North Using Only an Analog Wristwatch
Hold your watch flat and point the hour hand directly at the sun. Halfway between the hour hand and the 12 o’clock mark lies the North-South line. In the Northern Hemisphere, that bisecting line points due South (away from the sun’s zenith).
Rule of thumb: Remember to account for Daylight Saving Time by using the 1 o’clock mark instead of 12.
